How to build it
- Cut 4 side slats at 18″, 4 end slats at 12″, three bottom slats at 16½″ and four cleats at 9″.
- Glue and nail 2 end slats to two cleats to make each end panel, with a small gap between slats.
- Stand the end panels up and nail the side slats across them, overlapping the cleats.
- Turn the crate over and nail the bottom slats across the ends.
- Sand the edges. Leave it raw, or wax it if it's staying indoors.
