How to build it
- Cut the backboard to 30″ and sand it smooth.
- Mark five peg holes 6″ apart, centered on the board's width, starting 3″ from each end.
- Drill each hole to the diameter of your peg tenons, about ¾″ deep, holding the drill straight.
- Glue the pegs in and wipe away any squeeze-out.
- Finish, then screw the board into studs through countersunk holes hidden behind the end pegs.
