How to build it
- Draw a car profile on the side of the block: a flat bottom, a raised cabin and a sloped hood.
- Cut the profile with a jigsaw or bandsaw, keeping the blade on the waste side of the line.
- Drill axle holes straight through the body, ¾″ from the bottom and 1″ in from each end.
- Sand every edge round. Toys for small kids should have nothing sharp.
- Finish with a food-safe oil or leave it bare, then glue in the wheels and axle pegs.
